Local residents, shoppers and movie-goers at Westfield Belconnen will experience a true taste of Bavarian hospitality, from cultural hints in the interior décor, to quintessential dishes and a large range of imported and local beers.

The diverse menu offers something for everyone, including The Bavarian’s legendary pork knuckle, crackling pork belly, a range of classic German and gourmet sausages, shared platters, and an assortment of schnitzels. Complementing the big flavours are even bigger beers. The Bavarian’s 1-litre steins can quench a thirst, and an impressive 20 beers on tap, including imported favourites Löwenbräu, Spaten, Franziskaner, Stiegl and Hofbräu.

What cuisine does your venue offer?

The Bavarian serves up authentic German cuisine conveniently located in the Westfield Woden. With hearty portions of our renowned pork knuckle and crispy golden schnitzels accompanied by an overflowing stein, the Bavarian is the perfect spot to wind down after a long hard day of shopping!

Can I exclusively hire your venue?

Yes, our venue is available for exclusive hire. The Bavarian Belconnen can seat 270 guests exclusively, including our alfresco biergarten accommodating up to 30 guests perfect for upcoming private and corporate functions.

are you able to cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, our menu can accommodate a wide range of dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Please specify dietary requirements when enquiring.

Do you offer BYO?

We are a fully licensed restaurant, therefore we do not allow BYO.

Is a set menu required?

Yes, for all events at The Bavarian Belconnen a set menu is required. We offer 3 different set menus including a shared platter concept menu. Alternatively we offer both a platter and canape menu perfect for cocktail style events.
A set menu is implemented to ensure the highest quality of food and service for larger parties.

Can I opt for beverages on consumption? Do you offer beverage packages?

Yes, at The Bavarian Belconnen we offer both beverages on consumption and beverage packages. If you opt for beverages consumption, our recommendation is to pre-select:
1 x Sparkling/Champagne
2 x White Wine
2 x Red Wine
3 x Beers

Am I able to decorate or theme the space?

Yes, you may. Additonally, the Rockpool Dining Group Events Team can provide you with contacts to assist you with visually styling your event. Kindly note all decorations excluding floral arrangements are restricted to exclusive events only.

Please note we do not allow glitter, confetti or any decorations of offence.

Does your venue have disabled access and facilities?

Yes, The Bavarian Belconnen offers onsite disabled access and facilities.

Do you charge a room hire fee?

A room hire fee is subject to the venue and is event specific. A room hire fee and/or minimum spends will be provided upon quoting

What is a minimum spend?

A minimum spend is the amount that must be met on food and beverage purchases. It includes staffing costs. If, at the conclusion of your Event the minimum spend has not been met, the final bill will be rounded up to reach this amount accordingly. The deficit is payable on the day of and immediately after the conclusion of the Event, by cash or credit card. Additional costs such as Service Charge, theming, security, AV etc is not included in the minimum spend.

When is a Service Charge applicable?

A Service Charge is applicable on all groups of 10 guests or more.

Yes, The Bavarian Woden accepts all credit cards: AMEX, Visa, Mastercard and Diners.
