Rockpool Dining Group is making its debut on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with The Bavarian opening in the region’s largest shopping, dining and entertainment destination, Sunshine Plaza, in November 2018. Located in the new picturesque waterfront dining precinct known as The Riverwalk (opposite BBC Cinema), The Bavarian Sunshine Plaza accommodates 400 guests – 100 inside, with 300 seats spilling onto an al fresco, timber-decked dining area adjacent to the boardwalk overlooking the natural waterway that the plaza is built around. The restaurant features the same fresh, modern look and feel as The Bavarian family, with bright motifs and artwork complemented by rustic elements that reflect its Bavarian heritage, including stone walls, alpine timber finishes and large, communal wood tables and bench seating.

The Bavarian Sunshine Plaza has one private dining space seating up to 60 guests. Alternatively we can accommodate large parties across our Main Dining Floor and Alfresco Dining area.

The Bavarian Sunshine Plaza is a fun and casual, as is our dress code. We kindly ask for no offensive slogans or logos.
We are able to hold private dining spaces and group bookings for a maximum of 24 hours as it is a live booking system. For larger events please speak to one of our Event Managers - this is dependent on other incoming enquiries and the timeframe of the event.
The venue has 11 TV's onsite. For any additional AV requirements we have teamed up with a professional third party supplier who are able to deliver every AV need for your event. Please note, AV may only be used in private spaces or when the venue has been hired exclusively.
A room hire fee is subject to the venue and is event specific. A room hire fee and/or minimum spends will be provided upon quoting.
A minimum spend is the amount that must be met on food and beverage purchases. It includes staffing costs. If, at the conclusion of your Event the minimum spend has not been met, the final bill will be rounded up to reach this amount accordingly. The deficit is payable on the day of and immediately after the conclusion of the Event, by cash or credit card. Additional costs such as Service Charge, theming, security, AV etc is not included in the minimum spend.
A Service Charge is applicable on all groups of 10 guests or more.
Yes, Sunshine Plaza shopping centre offers parking onsite. The best parking for The Bavarian is the Coles Multilevel - entry from Plaza Parade. 3 hours free parking on all levels, with charges applying thereafter.
The Bavarian Sunshine Plaza is easily accessible by bus with the bus terminal and interchange located on Horton Parade, just outside the centre entrance and Rebel car park.
